about buffshel.com + a small site guide

buffshel.com started as an entirely separate, template-built (now defunct) film blog that existed as cultoverkinski.com. I later decided that I wanted to relocate my blog and hand code it to make it more personal. It was a difficult process to recover and transfer that initial domain; rather than deal with it upfront I started a new personal site that concerns itself with all of my interests (of which there are many).

I've since recovered and transferred the cultoverkinski.com domain name, and now have 2 sites. It works well, as my film interests would certainly oversaturate my personal site if it weren't confined to its own space.

This is a small online diary and some personal essays/articles.

my writing-- page(s) currently under construction

I like to write primarily about cowboys; my current project Buffalo Shells is an ultraviolent snowbound western ft. my ocs Caine and Laws. I also play red dead online and use this site to sandbox my red dead online/rdr2 roleplays and fanfiction.

digital art-- pages(s) currently under construction

I had a smaller art page on the site that opened in an iframe on the homepage, but that was doing my art a disservice as that setup was fairly dismissive of something I've worked so hard for. I like to draw horses and ponies, but also like gore and portraiture and men and really a myriad of things that can't be succinctly contained in sum.

The digital art page is really its own mini-site. Other than featuring my art and commission info, I also include links to artist resources (ex.my favorite art channels, other art sites, helpful tutorials, etc.) and also make lists of my favorite art books, tools, individual artists, etc.

special interest-- page(s) currently under construction

This is a home for my smaller but still intimate interests--a place to document books I like, videogames I've spent time in, and special lattes I've made. It's a bit of a catch-all.

graphics collections-- page(s) currently under construction

I'm a bit addicted to making stamps: it's fun and relatively simple. Stamps and seamless wallpaper are my graphics obsessions. I take most custom seamless wallpaper on commission, but have made some that are free to use!
